A polished brass mounted glass suspension light , known as a Hundi style. The brass ceiling cup holds the brass rod which suspends a hand blown glass (soot) dish . Below this three chains hold a brass ring that supports a hand blown glass inverted Cloche or bell.
Usualy these lamps were used with candles as light and hence the covering dish to prevent soot stains on the ceiling.
