A rare English oak upholstered wainscot armchair with amazingly comfortable seat and supporting back. The hand stitched sprung seat gives support and comfort and the angle of the backrest is unusually comfortable for this style of baronial furniture. Supported on solid oak turned colum legs and stretcher base.
Upholstery is mid 1980's and , although in good condition, would lend itself to recovering in leather or tapestry to truely make this armchair's form shine. The seat height is 42-43cm as required for heavy lounging!
