Large sienna or mustard coloured French 1940's traditional crimped edge fruit or olive bowl of large proportions. The mustard glazing of warm colour and density.
Traditiona Vallauris pottery became famous with the influence of Palbo Picasso and many examples exist from the late 40's onwards that are now considered treasued collectables.
This traditional glazed fruit bowl however gives a nod to its larger Anduze urn cousines which heralded from the designs or Napoleon's designers : Percier and Fontaine.
