Empire chest 3 drawers Sweden 1820

Antique original three drawer chest of the Empire period. Each drawer with book matched mahogany fronts, original locks and working steel key. Bronze Biedermeier Empire handles and escutcheons adorn the architectural facade. The whole resting on four stepped plinth feet. This small chest has a very good original patina with a lovely pale faded look that you can only get with age and care. The smaller size makes it ideal for modern bedroom use or as hallway console.
