Rare Empire Biedermeier chest 1815

Rare original late Empire early Biedermeier period blonde chest of three drawers. The drawers each with original working locks and gilt ormolu escutcheons and key. The Middle drawer with a recessed demilune and the bottom drawer with ebony moulding top matching the top and base mouldings. All with vertical veneers of highly figurative blonde mahogany and each with a fully functioning steel locks. A key is also supplied. All oak drawer runners and glides have been well serviced so they open very smoothly. Period Empire raised on elegant rounded and tapering legs back and front with ebony 1815
