Swedish antique Gustavian style chest of three drawers . The mahogany body with fluted corner pilasters raised on elegant tapering legs with ormolu mounts and brass sabot feet. Complete with original brass ring pull handles brass, escutcheons, brass key and working locks. The drawer fronts veneered in vertical mahogany matching the sides of this gorgeous chest. Original 18th century Gustavian pieces are near impossible to find outside Sweden and are culturally export prohibited.. It is similar to the French Louis XVI neoclassical style. This bespoke made chest dates from mid century 1950s.
