Early Empire or Directoire provincial blond birch desk chair armchair . Beautifully restored with respect to its age with genuine leather seat with standard seat height of 46cm. Substantial timber weight this gorgeous armchair still retains all its original pegged construction and is beautifully polished conserving its 200 year old patina. A new black leather cover to the seat makes this highly compatible with later Biedermeier furniture. A curved bar back with beautiful wood grain matching the curved front chair rail.
