Antique Italian 18th century crucifix carved polychrome gilt wood The original carved figure of Christ in painted fruitwood is of early to mid 18th century origin and is in very good condition for its age. The black painted wooden cross the sculpture is mounted on is modern handmade in order to display this statue correctly. A similar crucifix was sold by Drouot Paris for 2100 Euro : 18th March 2016 Original painted finish of the 18th century to the Christ figure.
