Sydney University signed by artist Platt

An original engraving by the reknowned artist Austin H Platt. ( 1912-2003) . This is an original Artists Proof and is signed and dated by the artist in stylised monogram "35 Ap" for approval to print. The engraving depicts the impressive historic stone facade of Sydney University and would date to 1935. A very rare Artist's proof , signed by the artist for publication approval as an engraving. Under glass and in wooden frame of the period A matching engraving was sold by Cooks Hill Gallery at $800 but was not the original artist proof ( unique one of only) 20th century original
