An early 20th century French Provincial parquetry top dining table. The chequerboard parquetry top raised on a pair of shaped canted end supports joined with scrolling wrought iron stretchers. This table is fitted with a pair of lopers at each end designed to support extension leaves. As with most French extension tables, the leaves are missing, probably because they were invariably made of sub standard timber. Matching parquetry leaves can be made for this table if required which will extend its overall length to 3830mm.
