We have more fabulous 1700s chairs that you could poke a stick at! Here is one such gem. This George II C.1730 open armchair is English, and veneered in thick slices of hand cut walnut, so it was made for a very wealthy client. It also has costly carved walnut cabriole kegs with ball and claw feet. After nearly 300 years of floor cleaning and daily wear, the lower 10 cm of all the legs is a highly skilled later replacement. Beautifully restored, it glows honey coloured. In early English walnut we also have a C1710 Queen Anne Bureau, a C1730 bureau and a C1730 bureau bookcase.
