This huge finely hand painted Sevres style wall plaque or table top is 48 cm in diameter. It has a hanging loop, but was probably made so it could also be a table top, and now would make a spectacular food platter. It has a raised rim.The painting us after one by Fragonard. The work depicts a game of blind man's bluff, and the original was painted about 1760. The porcelain painting is surprisingly good for this period, probably C1870: Napoleon III, Second Empire. It has a faux Sevres mark on the back.
