A beutiful blonde chest of drawers in walnut and fruitwood. The well figured timber in the solid, not veneered. Four graduated drawers with original working locks and key. The Empire bronze handles and escutcheons are an elegant addition to this gorgeous simple design of the French Charles X and Louis Philippe period.
All drawers run very smothly and all locks work like a swiss clockwork. The top of the chest with feature knots in the surface , is solid not veneered, is also book matched in grain, so quite a marvelous piece of the cabinetmaker's art.
Swiss circa 1830.
