Antique English Regency rosewood fold over tea table in well figured Brazillian rosewood / Jacaranda. the top swivels and folds open to reveal bookmatched figurative veneers on both sides.
Raised on a concave shaped tapering column in the simplest of styles, this table could easily be mistaken stylistically for an Art Deco piece that came 100 years later.
The Regency period also heavily influenced the continental Biedermeier simplicity.
