French rococo heavy gilded bronze clock adorned with cherubs and in the most beautiful condition. A glazed watch glass covers the painted enamel face with Roman numerals and steel hands. In excellent working order and with original silk suspension the two train movement with silver bell strike. A watch glass covers the real of the clock mechanism. The backplate of the workings is signed "Gresson A Paris" The clock weighs around 9 kg which is quite heavy and may be due to the dense mercurial gilding as well as the solid bronze case.
