Georgian period flint glass lidded bon bon bowl 1780's, with heavy facette cut body and inverted swag edge with pineapple finial lid. Minor 'flea bits to edges of bowl, but to be expected from such a utilitarian piece over 200 years of age. Weight is 1200 grams, quite heavy for a dish this size, hence the attribution of Irish origin, in order to minimise the glass tax imposed on English manufacturers.
