Regency gilt rosewood centre table

Carved and gilded Regency style centre table with hand painted woodgrain details and gold leaf gilt carved highlights. Hand finish with solid turned wood taper column support on tripod platform raised on giltwood corinthian scroll cared feet. The hand painted Brazilian Rosewood wood grain finish is rare for provincial Georgian furniture as this timber was extremely hard to find ( and still is) and very expensive. Good faux painted finishes outsell the real thing as it preserves the rainforest trees and displays the artists real talent. Ideal as foyer hallway table. Bespoke made 1980's
