Tall antique Gustavian pier wall mirror with hand painted grisaille trumeau mirror panel in carved mahogany late 18th century Neoclassic Scandinavian Gustavian era mirror frame with Chapeau de Gendarme or Napoleon bicorn hat shaped top with marquetry shell inlay in the Georgian manner of Sheraton. The stepped moulding over dentilled moulding. The upper mirror with hand painted grisaille (grey neutral tones) pattern with sphinxes swags and urn. The finish is completely original with original french polished patina to rich solid mahogany frame . The mirror glass is also the original.
