Stunning late 1940s Murano Somerso Vase By Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte (formerly Barovier, Seguso & Ferro). In rich emerald green, cased or "somerso" (submerged) in golden amber which has then been submerged a third time in a heavy colorless layer. This Somerso technique which became such an iconic part of the Murano style post Wwii was pioneered by Flavio Poli during the war years and it debuted after the war . One for the serious collector to track Murano design, a genuine example of early Mid-C Murano Art Glass by one of the fathers of the Mid-Century Murano design aesthetic.
