Superb French Louis XVI style antique marquetry bookcase with adjustable shelves gilt bronze mounts made in England in the 1840's Top pediment over a pair of hand drawn glass doors that open with key a working lock. original silk velvet lining and three lift out shelves, this section lifts off the base with two marquetry inlaid walnut and satinwood doors. The lower cabinet with lift out shelf. Rich walnut and marquetry is french polished shellac in excellent original condition makes this a very desirable bookcase for the den or office.
