French Empire small desk Leather inlay

Antique French Empire writing table lady's desk with two drawers with ormolu and original leather iinlay The solid mahogany top with insert of black leather with gilt edge tooled design. Underneath and hidden within the apron are two drawers each with working lock, engine turned bronze handles and a working brass key supplied. The whole raised on turned and fluted neoclassical legs. The table is retains its original shellac french polished finish. The drawer fronts and side and back panels are in plum pudding mahogany. Finished all round to stand in the centre of a room.
