Sevres manufactory, lidded urn, 1888.

This is Sevres, from the former Royal porcelain factory, as opposed to the many Sevres Style pieces often seen. The marks are for 1888. The lidded urn or vase stands 39 cm tall and is 16 cm in diameter, so not small. There has been a repair to the foot, which is not visible from the outside, but evident while looking at the base interior. The rich royal blue ground is decorated with raised gilding. It is in the NeoClassical style associated with the reign of Louis XVI.
