Regency fold over tea table desk 1815

Antique original Regency period English mahogany fold over tea table with single drawer and satinwood inlay circa 1815.... ideal use as a desk The solid honduras mahogany top with curved edges folds over and is supported by rare butterfly hinged legs ( two legs fold backwards instead of just one). This makes for a very sturdy table . The single drawer with brass knobs lock and key is ideal as use for a small desk in modern times and its fold over action was used in the antique for late night suppers and games. The design is further enhance by satinwood string inlay in the grecian manner
