Rare antique Gustavian Swedish neoclassical column pedestal plinth with hand painted finish in grey on pine with carved ornaments and fluted column decoration circa 1790 These types of column pedestals were usually used as torchere or candelabra stands or for sculpture display and would also floral displays in ornate vases or busts or statues. The hand painted Gustavian grey neutral colour suits many interiors . The rectangular top with footprint on W34 x D26cm will suit most medium size statues.
