Antique French Louis XVI blonde mahogany bureau Plat writing desk brass inlay, three drawers and original leather. Paris 1880 A good French louis XVI style late 19th century pale mahogany writing desk. The top with original rouge leather insert in good "fully experienced" condition- a value point. The desk is fitted with three drawers. The centre drawer with original gilt bronze ormolu key to working lock. Bronze insert cabouchon panels to top of tuned and fluted legs. The legs are raised on brass sabot feet. Polished finish all round so it can stand in the centre of a room.
