Pair French Empire provincial armchairs

Antique pair French provincial Empire armchairs with ornate carved urn backsplat and woven rush seats 1840's These gorgeous light fruitwood armchairs have a wonderfully shaped Napoleon hat back. Below these are the ornate carved back splats with urns on pedestals and floral carvings. The generous armrests curve outwards and are joined by a turned column support. The seats are of good quality with hand woven wheat rush to bow front supports. Raised on sabre legs with shaped joints and stretchers. Good french polished finish all round . Note sturdy old repair to one back rest.
