Large 1780 Georgian desk chair Sheraton

18th century bedroom chair with pegged joints and upholstered back and seat 1780 Sheraton. Carved shield back with ornate carved taper legs. The back of this chair shows signs of having had armrest joints but has been altered some time ago. This would explain the generous sized seat usually only reserved for armchairs. Original wax patina. Upholstered in vintage stiped fabric. Raised on Georgian taper legs with carved fluting and spade feet. Nice and sturdy ideal as desk or bedroom chair .
