The oval top with satinwood string inlay and mahogany cross banding and single extension leaf.
Tables of these dimensions did not exist in the Georgian era of the early 19th century and this bespoke made piece fitted the decorators requirements in the 1960's onwards for an extension table to suit 4-6 diners.
