Antique set 4 Directoire chairs solid mahogany vintage stripe upholstery rosewood inlaid circa 1795 The elegant Shaker style simplicity of these chairs is refined and sophisticated. The shaped back with 3 back splats all inlaid with rosewood and satinwood stringing. Raised on taper legs with stretchers all inlaid. Pegged construction to legs in the traditional 18th century manner. Upholstered in vintage striped fabric with minor blemished and surface with minor discoloration in blond woven horsehair but no tears and height of 46cm. In original condition. Priced as a set of Four
