Tall pier mirror carved columns 1840

Antique 19th century pier or tall mirror with Chapeau de Gendarme top carved mahogany columns to frame and ornate scroll work with original mirror glass, circa 1840. A classic Biedermeier period frame this design would easily be mistaken as French Empire 1820 or Art Deco 1920 yet dates from the mid19th century. This Biedermeier design is timeless. The frame is completely original with original french polished patina to solid mahogany and includes the original silvered mirror glass _ a value point!
