Large antique 5 drawer late 18th century secretaire chest in the Directoire manner circa 1795 . The gorgeous solid figurative oak commode chest of drawers with ebony banding bronze ring pull handles and ornate Louis XVI bronze escutcheons. Made in the traditional manner of the 18th century this large size chest comes apart into three sections for easy moving. The top section with three drawers featuring a shallow top drawer, a fold down centre drawer with fitted interior with ornate satinwood drawers for the more valuable toys, locks with a steel key.
