Baroque 1730 bureau secretaire oak desk

Antique well proportioned late provincial oak baroque 1730's secretaire desk in well figured oak with exquisite fitted interior. The shaped serpentine front drawers below the drop front writing surface with brass Chippendale handles and escutcheons. Two arch top carved panel doors with intricate moldings above the desk section with canted corners and carved oak pediment top. The writing surface is 85 cm off the ground with generous legroom clearance of 82cm below top.. allowing for armchair space! When opened the writing surface measures W 110cm.
