A delightful early 18th century (circa 1720) Dutch oak, 3-drawer dressing/side table. This piece has an attractive patina, complete with scorch marks where candles have melted down. Some considerable restoration was required as the knee blocks and knee surround were missing, as were 3 of the feet. Fortunately one foot had survived to copy. The missing lock was replaced and two of the non original bail handles were fabricated. Engraved backplates fastened with split pins, not posts. Non original finish of good colour and condition was retained, so repairs matched to it.
