Superb quality mahogany cylinder front desk with fitted interior. This beautiful 1820 Bureau secretaire is the ultimate in a Biedermeier desk. The cylinder top rolls back and the desk top pulls out smoothly with a desk height of 78cm with clearance below of 69cm. Interior is fitted with several secret drawers and various pull out compartments and slides. A tooled gilt leather adjustable central writing surface to centre is flanked by two sliding storage compartments. Beautifully veneered in book matched pyramid flame mahogany retaining original French polished finish. North German 1820's
