Marquetry hallway console chest drawers

Antique marquetry inlaid two drawer serpentine shaped hallway or bedside chest known as a petit commode. Each drawer is pulled open with ornate bronze handles. The serpentine shaped sides with quarter panel inlays in satinwood and fruitwood. The serpentine shaped top with palisander and Brazillian rosewood marquetry and moulded edge. Raised on elegant cabriole legs with brass sabot feet and shaped corners. This is an ideal chest for a hallway as it is only 36cm deep or as a hallway console, lamp table or even bedside chest.
