Empire Bureau bookcase writing desk 1825

Antique well proportioned provincial Empire or Biedermeier secretaire bookcase with fall front desk in well figured oak with exquisite fitted cherrywood interior. The shaped cartoughe drawers below the drop front writing surface with brass handles and escutcheons. A two glazed door cabinet top with canted corners and neoclassical shaped pelmet. Contrasting black highlights. The writing surface is 76 cm off the ground and when opened the surface measures D58cm x W 88 cm.
