Early Colonial Cedar writing box C1840

Australian Colonial Cedar writing box c 1840. This large early box features spectacular graining and colour. One continuous slab of cedar cut to show continuous flow of grain on front, top and sides. Dovetail construction and a simple fitted interior with a secret compartment.Wonderful aged colour and patina. Note, photos have been taken outside on a sunny day.
