Brazilian rosewood French Empire chest

French Empire chest of 3 drawers in Brazilian rosewood, King Charles X 1825. The french polished top with shaped edges over carved corbells and pilaster corners. Three graduated size drawers with Brazilian rosewood facades and with mouldings and carved escutcheons. Each drawer with turned inset handles and original locks with a working steel key. The top drawer has an internal sliding lift out compartment for precious smalls. Ideal as a hallway console to show off the gorgeous vivid rosewood grain from front and side. Good original french polished patina. All drawers work very smoothly
