Antique Dutch marquetry Empire period fauteuil armchair with woolwork upholstery and original finish 1815. A superb quality desk chair with scrolling armrests with sabre legs and ornate inlay. The mahogany and satinwood marquetry is very well made and the drop in seat in traditional hand knotted fabric cover. The antique woolwork upholstery with minor repairs that indicate loving value of the hand made finish. Original polished finish is a value point. Dutch early 19th century The drop in seat lifts out of the ornate chair frame and may easily be recovered in your favourite fabric.
