Antique Australian Colonial era writing desk with 2 drawers made of solid Australian coastal red cedar with vivid fiddleback grain top. The gorgeous solid cedar top with a lovely grain has to be seen to be appreciated and has a gorgeous burnished patina. It is a single slab of cedar, not jointed...so imaging the size of the tree! The two drawers below the top are in solid Australian red cedar with turned knobs. Raised on four elegant turned legs this early Colonial era desk or hall table has many uses. Generous legroom clearance 61cm. Warm waxed patina shellac polished finish.
