French 19th Century Boulle Mantle Clock

A 19th Century Regence, Ormolu Mounted, Boulle Marquetry Clock. Circa 1870 The foliate mounted arch shaped case with tortoise shell and fine foliate brass inlay, surmounted by a figure of winged Victory. The door with foliate scrolls, embellishments with bronze foliate ormolu C-scrolls and satyre masks mounts to the sides, on four scrolled foliate, bronze Nymphs to the hipped angles. The circular ormolu dial, with individual white enamel Roman cartouche chapters, original cut steel hands, the movement with rectangular plates joined by vase shaped back-pinned pillars, with twin barrel.
