marked Spode in red script underneath, this bowl is in the London shape, of about 1810. It is the bowl from a trea service. the hand painted decoration of Chantilly Sprigs, was popular both sides of the channel. It was Marie Antoinette's favourite pattern and it appears on porcelains from the factory under her protection (Rue Thiroux), and in upholstery she, herself, stitched.
