Chinese Export Porcelain Crested Tureen

Bearing the squirrel crest of the Rundle family and the motto "Unita Fortior" (United Strength), this oval lidded tureen is in the standard Chinese Export shape of the 19th century, but is late last century. We have a considerable number of pieces form this bespoke, hand painted dinner service. The wide band of peach is painted with orange and purple flowers and green foliage. The crest is on each side of the lid and tureen, so 4 painted squirrels!
