Extremely rare antique white porcelain neoclassical floor vase of monumental size possibly Kpm Berlin, late 18th century with gilt bronze ormolu mount. The huge egg shaped body with tall neck opening is gadrooned with Laurel leaf swags all hand formed. Such a large single piece of fired porcelain required enormous technical proficiency This huge neoclassical vase is made in two sections and is joined with a gilt bronze acanthus mount separating the two parts that are bolted firmly together. The foot of the vase is a classic turned plinth shape. Minor surface repairs under bronze mount.
