Important antique original collectors cabinet with superb marquetry inlay. French Louis XV Bijouterie jewellery cabinet inlaid with ornate marquetry in satinwood and other precious timbers. The gilt bronze ormolu mounts and superb quality of craftsmanship dates this cabinet to the Belle Epoche era in Paris 1871-1880. The marquetry inlay to the top with musical instruments and inscribed detailed musical scores. The marquetry is carried over to all 4 sides so it can stand in the centre of a room. A sliding extension just under the top and 4 internal drawers. Complete with working key
