Danish Biedermeier period mahogany chest of four drawers, 1835. The drawers of graduating sizes each with original working locks and a key and quarter veneers of highly figurative mahogany. Each drawer is opend by the easy push pull of the key to maintain the minimalist facade design. All drawer runners and glides have been well serviced so they open very smoothly for many more years. Period Biedermeier bronze keyhole escutcheons to each drawer adds a touch of elegance and highlights the contrasting with the red flame mahogany veneers. Raised on mahogany escargot carved front feet .
