Antique 19th century Regency brazilian rosewood teapoy with lift top and fitted lidded compartments 1820. This gorgeous piece of furniture was made when tea was still a highly prized and rare commodity in the early 1800's The sarcophagus shaped box with rosewood mouldings and original brass lock. lift the lid to reveal an interior with two silver lined tea boxes and two circular receptacles for the tea mixing bowls. Raised on turned and carved column to platform base with acanthus scroll legs and hidden castors within. Perfect for storing fancy chocolates or rare liquors
