This charming picture is full of life and shows people on the banks of the Thames reading the paper, strolling and looking at the cheerful tug-boats. Painted by the accomplished Austro-German Expressionist Karl Gast (born 1907), the artist exhibited widely across Europe and in Milan, Berlin, Vienna and Brussels.
