Sheraton blond satinwood lamp table oval

Antique Sheraton oval table with marquetry in blonde burl maple and satinwood in the Goergian manner Polished all round so it can be used as a lamp table or as bedside. The oval top mounted over a shaped frame raised on four elegant tapering legs. Tables of these dimensions were very rare in the late 18th century and the demand for quality antiques influenced a revival in the late Victorian era for Sheraton furniture. This unique table was made in the early 1900's to suit more modern heights and designer's requirements. Minor veneer scuffs but in good sturdy condition.
