Georgian writing desk bureau 1780 inlaid

Antique Georgian period flame mahogany bureau writing desk with inlay and superb fitted interior, circa 1780. An unusually wide fall front writing bureau desk with flame mahogany and satinwood inlay in the of the period and in the Sheraton manner. The fall front desk top opens with an ornate bronze key and reveals an interior of many compartments and drawers with ingenious secret drawers. 4 large drawers below open very smoothly as all drawer runners and glides have been serviced/replaced where required to ensure easy use. All drawers with ornate mercurial gilt bronze handles.
